They may not have a lot of choices compared to the other hotels but the steak is the best in town. Really melts in your mouth. Hope it stays that way everytime.

The buffett offered at 7 corners, although presenting similar cuisines of that of other hotel buffets, carries a few dishes that aren't seen in other buffets. One example is the eel, my favorite. You can have them make it into a maki roll or take it by fillet and add terikyaki sauce over rice.

The also serve a number of mediterranean and indian dishes that you don't see.

There are days where they serve lobster and crab and other days they don't.

This is the best place (in Metro Manila, Philippines) to eat buffet-style. Abundant, rich, tasty, classy food. Excellent service. Perfect ambiance. No discrimination whatsoever. You can be young and FILIPINO and the servers will treat you like royalty.
P1,500 per head is worth it. My top faves: their cheesecakes, desserts, oysters, lamb. I'm not so hot about Mongolian, but for others- I'm sure they would enjoy it. I love the pizza, the rice, the soup, the chicken. Don't forget the giant prawns! Yummy!!

*Disclaimer...I cannot testify to this but one acquaintance of mine said that she saw a cockroach in 7 corners. However I have not seen one YET & so I would stick to my perception of it being one of the classiest buffet restaurants in the metro.

I've sworn off buffet dining- well, I did several times- usually towards the end of the meal, when the "umay" sets in and settles like a rock in my already distended tummy, and when the reality hits me that i could have feed a family of four for a week with the cost of my buffet dinner.

BUT I kept on coming back to Seven Corners. Four or Five times in the last five months, with my hubby dutifully tagging along.

Okay, here's what I think are the reasons:

1. I admit, their selections are just exquisite. I may not be good at describing the experience, but imagine something that practically melts in your mouth, or something so good it makes your toes curl? I appreciate the variety of dishes ( unlike Heat in Shangrila EDSA) and the abundance of supply- they have never run out of any dish ( unlike Kamay Kainan. My only complaint is consistency. There are times when the roast beef is not as delicious as the previous one I've tried; or the shrimps and lobsters are wanting in flavor, or the fish is not as moist as before.

2. But the visual presentation could not have been done better. Its the image of Seven Corner's deletable spread that dances in my mind whenever Im stressed out and hungry.

3. Service is good. The waiters look happy to serve.

4. Unlike Heat or Kamay-Kainan which are two crowded, the traffic at Seven Corners is not that bad to rob you of your appetite or mood for pigging out.

5. For the cost, definitely better than Heat.

6. I'm too lazy to go to Makati and try the other buffet experience there. But talking about dining buffet style Ortigas, Seven Corners definitely gets my number vote.

Aside from the make your own pizza, here's one that the restaurant's executive Chef Cyrille Soenen created: chocolate pizza. It brims with mangoes and slivered almonds, complete with chocolate sauce listlessly dripping down the sides. Chef Cyrille told me that he kept the same crust that's used for the savory pizzas. The pizza is a big hit, though I would've preferred a sweeter crust, being the sugarholic that I am.

While, this "team up" lingers as a reverberating success - and on how Crowne Plaza's Seven Corners Buffet will sit with continuity because of a good marketing package due to affordability and quality food - one can only marvel on the hotel's flavorful offers that represent the exotic, culturally-connected tastes, and par-distinctions of the world's seven continental rims.

The buffet table is divided into “cuisines”. There’s a section of Japanese dishes, another for Chinese dishes, there’s a salad bar (the caramelized pearl onions were just great), there’s an all-meat section where you can specify how you want your steak done, and there’s the fantastic dessert bar.
