They serve really great Japanese food, its filling in the right way, since ang sarap tlga ng kain since they serve light meals but after a while you will feel a bit full and not bloated which is a good thing. I love their tangy salads since i hate mayo and they use vinaigrette and generous servings of salmon and sashimi, and some greens that only Japanese salads tend to have. I also love their tempura of course, sukiyaki, agadeshi tofu and their chawan mushi, which my mom, sister and i usually order when we eat there. Its a type of soup actually but it looks like a bowl of tofu, but once you dig in there's chicken and stuff which all blends well together:) I actually never get tired of eating here and, nakakacrave talaga food nila once you've eaten there:)
Accidentally passed by at 12midnight and they were still open! Grabbed my favorite Squid Teppanyaki Bento Box for 1 and was full and ready to fall asleep.
Next time might try the 3 for 99pesos san mig light promo till 4am. Perfect with Salmon Sashimi.
The menu is pretty straightforward, you can mix and match dishes to create a customized meal of your own. You can add anywhere from P100 to P200 so you can get all the trimmings of a complete meal (miso soup, salad, california maki, drink, etc).
Since I was recovering from the flu I didn't want anything greasy. I ordered the Chirashidon (P175), which is vinegared sushi rice topped with tamago, prawn, tuna sashimi, salmon sashimi, crabsticks, and some assorted pickles. It felt very clean and healthy, I quite enjoyed it. My hubby had the Sukiyakidon (P135), while our son had the Gyudon (P130). I also decided to try their Sushi-ya Sunrise Roll (P180) which is sort of similar to California Maki except that this had a cube of cream cheese and raw tuna squeezed in along with the rest of the fillings.
Sushi-ya is ideal for a quick and filling no-fuss meal, with unique sushi offerings as an added plus.
