Mr. Choi Kitchen isn't a very catchy name for a Chinese resto and its cozy interiors give an impression that the food is a bit pricey.
We were wrong since the prices are actually reasonable considering the surprisingly large bowls of noodles they served us.
My beef and wanton noodles tasted a lot like the one I used to eat with my colleagues at Little Poon.
My hubby's roast duck noodles was simply malodorous. Nice and edible while it's still hot but the soup gets seemingly rancid after some time.
Pairing your noodles with 3 pieces of Asado siopao was a good experience but it wasn't really as satisfying as what I've had at Hap Chan and North Park.
The ambiance could compensate for the lack of extravagance in the food. What I can't let slip is the bad service. The waiter kept on pretending not to see us even after we called him 3 times. He can't possibly be busy since there were only 3 or 4 occupied tables in the resto. We asked for some service water. After waiting, we were relieved when we saw the waiter putting some ice and water on a glass .. only to give it to another customer! =.=
After reading a bunch of other reviews on Mr. Choi, it seems that the only thing consistent in this resto is the bad service. It's nice to have tried eating here once, But there isn't anything special that'd make you want to crave for m0re.

My boyfriend digs this place, dunno why. the food is okay but not as great as can be imagined. the price is okay so i guess its more of the value for money :) He always order the Baked Asado rice, not bad really. I heard, the TAHO dessert is a must try. unfortunately, i've never tried it yet.

It's very close to Gloria Maris but cheaper.
