My dad found out about this restaurant online so we decided to eat here one day for lunch. Usually my family spends way too much on food when we go out. This was a nice change. It was very affordable and they have an extensive menu featuring different Asian cuisines. The place is designed to look like a Singaporean fast food place, but unlike the usual fast food places, the restaurant was very clean, the servers were attentive and provide quality service. We had the Hainanese chicken, chili prawns, basil beef and salt and pepper spare ribs which were all very good and with prices that ranged from 150-320(*prawns). Everything was very good and we will come back for sure. A very good place for families, friends and of course the busy workers of Makati.

Ate here for lunch today, Their concept is bagnet which is kind of similar to lechon kawali, and the idea they have is fried bagnet with the sauce of your choice, they have the basic bagnet served with bagoong, bagnet with curry, ginataan, kare kare and so on sauce. Or sisig bagnet. the prices range from 100-110 for solo meals and 25 for drinks. I find their food interesting. It's good, but the meats can be a bit overcooked and chewy. Anyways I still like it so whenever you're around estrella street I would recommend this..

I just had dinner here tonight. I had the Prawn salad with mango papaya vinaigrette for appetizer; It had nice big prawns so it was very good for the price. For my entree I had the mushroom cream pasta php264. I read in the menu that it had truffle oil so I was very curious. I added grilled chicken for an additional 91php. It was surprisingly excellent! A generous plate of pasta and creamy mushroom sauce with a flavorful hint of truffle! Very good taste for a very good price! I definitely recommend this restaurant! They are famous for their ensaymadas and cheese rolls but I must say that their pastas are really really good and affordable! For dessert I had the strawberry short cake, it was ok, the icing was good, but when I looked closely I noticed that the strawberries were a bit overripe and the cake itself was crumbly and not moist.. A bit disappointing for dessert but very forgivable. MUST TRY MUSHROOM CREAM PASTA WITH GRILLED CHICKEN. =) service was ok food came out fast but had trouble when bringing drinks and refilling water.

Great blended fruit drinks. I ordered the watermelon shake which turned out not too watery, not too sweet and didn't have seeds in them. Some kiosks serve their watermelon shakes with the seeds still there which is really really bad. The flavors are just right and the fruits look fresh. I also tried a sandwich which is okay but forgettable. The service is nice and the people are nice. they are very accommodating and even helped me pick out what to order.

This is my Haagen dazs substitute. Whenever I want ice cream but don't want to spend too much, I go here. I can have 2 scoops of ice cream for about 90php. I really like the vanilla. The sugar free ice creams are also good though they cost a bit more. I also like the strawberry flavor. The servings are generous. However, the attendant was a bit slow as it took a long time before the people before me were served so it also took a long time before I got my order.

They have very nice crepes, I would suggest the smoked salmon crepe. It's me and my mom's favorite. BUt you would have to fall in line as well as get your own crepe. It's like a fast food type of stall. But the crepes come fast. I think that the crepes with ice cream are inconveniently wrapped though.

Cafe Breton without a doubt has one of the finest crepes I've ever tasted. But in this particular branch, I wasn't very impressed. The service is always good I must admit. But in this branch, they made a very bad mistake. I ordered the Déja Vu (210.15php), it had mangoes, a special cream sauce (creme anglaise I think) and a Vanilla Ice cream on top. I love the contrast with the hot and cold. But the sauce was salty. Since it was the first time I had it, I just shut up about it because what did I know right? BUt after eating the same thing at another branch, I realized that THAt was how it was really supposed to taste. They must have used the salt instead of the sugar at this branch, so thumb down. If however, you decide to try this at another branch, I would also suggest the cafe au lait (85php) and the Excalibur Savory crepe (195.25php) it has asparagus, ham, emmenthal cheese and some onions and mushrooms.

I love ice monster because of their very finely shaved ice. But I think that they are over expensive. Their ingredients are basically Ice, condensed milk, syrup and fruit. For 60php, I think that though it may sometimes be okay, most of the time the price is just not right.

The bibingka (85php) and the puto bumbong (50PHP) is good. But I think the prices are too high. I also didn't like that while we were ordering, someone cut in front of us and ordered. Naturally they were served first. We later learned that the rude behavior was because they were the owner. Shouldn't the owner let the REAL customers order first? we were the first there to come also. It was just horrible.

The place is a bit hard to reach. The spot is pretty enough. But inside the restaurant, it's a bit crowded and the tables are just beside each other with very little space. It's a nice place to have a drink with your friends, and the bands who sing every night are often famous. The food and drinks are typical of a bar and the service is mediocre. The entrance fee is about 250php when there is a live band.

I really like that they have a salad bar. When we ate there we had free salad buffet that came with our meals. I guess the renovation became necessary to suit the tastes of the shoppers in Power plant mall. I recommend the Pork Chop though it may get tiring after eating half of it. It's good though. The service however, is not. You may have to repeatedly call the servers. And the food did not arrive on time.

I like their chicken here, it's really savory like every flavor is there. I like that they use freshly cracked pepper. I also like the cheesy garlic potatoes and I love their corn muffins. The corn muffins are flavorful yet cheap (12php per muffin). The service is fast since you fall in line in front. But sometimes the side dishes are already cold. and the pasta side dishes are overcooked.

This restaurant offers Chinese food as much as they offer Filipino food. They have Chinese food such as beef Broccoli and bird's nest soup but they also have Filipino food like sisig (190php) and chicken adobo (245php). Their chicken(320php whole) is really nice and I think what made it special is that the sauce is different from the traditional gravy. Their sauce is somewhat sweet and it is the dish that they are famous for. Most of their food items are good. The service itself was okay, But the receptionist who received us took my baby cousins high chair while we were waiting for a table. My cousin fell on the floor and the receptionist/food server acted as if my cousin was at fault even though there were plenty of high chairs beside the one he was sitting at. How rude. And the tables were too close to each other.

I think most of their cakes are forgettable. A lot of them are bland. They have an Ube cake that is moist and soft but didn't really taste like ube. The chocolate roll and most of the other cakes are just too sweet. The only thing I liked here is the mango cake (275php for the small one). A bit expensive but I love it. It was very flavorful that isn't too sweet. I would recommend that cake to everyone.

The place smells like insects. Clearly not much food hazard control. I ordered the chicken feet(85php) and it was already dry when it came to me. The radish cake (80php) was good. We also tried the shrimp sio mai (85php) and it tasted like it's almost spoiled. Some food items were good, but most were bad. The serviec was also bad. Even though there were no other customers, food didn't arrive immediately and drinks were not served and refilled. Place looks dirty and I'm sure it is.

We love this restaurant and we eat here almost on every occasion. Our family celebrates weddings and birthdays here. the must try's are: the cold cut combination (395php), the fish fillet with tofu hot pot(295php), the steamed lapu-lapu with soy sauce(675php) and the hot prawn salad(730php). You should also try the peking duck (315php) with the wrap and Hoisin sauce. The chicken feet dim sum (90php), the birthday noodles (315php) and the shark's fin soup are also good. The service though at times are slow, specially on weekends where there is also often a waiting list, is forgivable since they make sure never to forget a table. So if you are going to eat here reserve early or come early. The Shabu-shabu is also very good. And if you are going to eat at a Gloria Maris, I strongly suggest this particular branch since the other branches are different in a way and the food also seems different than the one in Greenhills.

Nice casual restaurant. I like the salt and pepper squid and the braised beef. Service may be a bit flawed though. Prices are good enough though not great. Better eat at Super bowl instead if you're looking for good affordable Chinese food.

very cheap and good food. the service is also nice for the prices. What is amazing is that their toilet is very clean which means that the hygiene is good. The kitchen is open for everybody to see. There are less than 10 dishes offered and all dishes includes a meat item, an egg and a cup of fried rice. The soy sauce is also nice. A dish costs around 42php. A good choice for people on a tight budget and students.

My professor is the owner of this restaurant and I may be biased but Kusina Salud really offers good food that showcases the local Filipino ingredients. I really liked the Carabeef tapa, which is Filipino Tapa using carabao meat. They do something with the meat to make it very soft. The paco salad which we also tried was also good, it had paco, some local cheddar cheese, nuts, garlic and a dressing made of fermented fish sauce. The restaurant is really proud of using ingredients that are local to us. The ambiance was also very good. It was very quiet there and the scenes were wonderful.

Great restaurant and also great prices. The staff was friendly and attentive enough. I would recommend the Jellyfish with Century Egg(160php), Stir-fried Baguio Beans with Minced Pork (185php), the Beef w/ Broccoli (295php), Steamed Fish Fillet with Garlic (255php), and the honey glazed pork ribs (285php). Anyway most of their dishes are very good though. You almost can't go wrong with what you order. Just watch out for new dishes; one time we tried a rice dish with ripe mangoes and it was not good.

I've eaten here twice. I liked the food and service the first time around, but not on the second time, which means they are inconsistent. I've tried the California maki and I felt that something was missing like more mangoes or more cucumber. It was just bland for me. I did like the Wagyu with rice and then katsudon. The servings was generous. I've also tasted the steak but I thought that it was bland and tough, and the salmon was also overcooked. I did like the idea of cucumber submerged in the water. The service was terrible. I came with my mom and my uncle. my mom and I were thirsty so I asked for some water for the three of us, I used my hands to signal "the three of us". But when the water came, the server only gave one to me. They have no initiative there. You have to ask them repeatedly about what you want and your orders. I ordered chicken Teriyaki on the second time, but they failed to give it to me (they failed to take THAT order) so I had to cancel my order because they were on a rush. Some of the items are worth the money, and some were not. So I think that it's not too bad nor too good. I have to eat there again to decide.

Tokyo Cafe is a restaurant which specializes in crepes. Outside the establishment, an array of crepes made of plastic are used for decoration. It's not really a restaurant which can boast about traditional Japanese food. There are quite a lot of dishes which are fusion such as the ebiko pasta, tapa, hamburg steak etc etc. I was quite confused when I first ate here because the choices do not mesh well with the name and theme of the restaurant. Anyway we ordered the Tomato Garlic Shrimp pasta (219php). It was very nice, The pasta was al dente and also the shrimp. We also ordered the Tokyo caesar salad(113php) which tasted like the normal caesar salad. We've also ordered the Hamburg steak (175php) which tasted exactly like Jollibee. We also tried the Tokyo boneless chicken i think (175php) which was chicken with rosemary. It was nice the chicken was well cooked and seasoned well. I didn't taste a dish that I didn't like. The service was bad. People don't easily come to your table and food doesn't arrive fast. The serving size of the rice is tiny and very expensive though I cannot remember the price. All in all it's not your typical Japanese restaurant, the crepes are good but not as good as crepes and creams, but the food is good for the price and I will definitely come back here, if only to try their other dishes.

I think Sonja's cupcakes was a hit at first, but now is slowly declining in popularity. The cupcakes are too expensive for their tastes, some cupcakes even taste the same with each other. 100php is simply too expensive for a piece of cupcake that is really nothing special. Just make your own at home and save money. The drinks are also nothing spectacular (they use Torani brand, which I have tasted a lot of times from some computer shops and some drink stands.) I must admit though that the place looks very nice.

At first I really liked Dad's. But after a few times eating here it just gets tiresome. They offer only regular Filipino and Japanese food. They don't offer anything new on the table. Hygiene in the kitchen and work areas are also questionable. Good for people with big appetites and looking for some okay food to satisfy their Filipino and Japanese food cravings. But if you are going to eat, don't expect anything special or anything that would be a new culinary experience. it's just food for hungry people with big appetites.

Tong Yang is different from other Hot Pot restaurant because not only do they offer buffet, but also because they have grills in the tables aside from the usual hot pot. I really really liked the intestines; it has a different flavor from the street ones. The beef is really forgettable. But they do have a lot of choices from meats and seafood to vegetables and processed meat such as meatballs. There isn't much dessert; they only offer a selection of fruits and other items for halo-halo. The drinks are bottomless. Price is about 500php per person for a buffet. The service is ugly. The waiter kept on hitting on me even though I was with my boyfriend. very unprofessional, and you have to go to the bar i you want your drinks refilled. No one is going to do anything for you there. Ambiance is typical Asian. Somewhat dirty. But food is okay.

Circles is good not only because of the wide array of food but also because of the quality. It is normal for a buffet restaurant to have the quality of the food suffer because of the quantity that needs to be cooked. Here at Circles Makati they have exceptionally fine food of different cuisines. The restaurant doesn't offer the regular food items that one usually see in buffet restaurants. For around 2000php, it's worth it. their breakfast buffet is very good also. The service isn't really anything special because buffets are often self service and this one was no exception.

Best ice cream I've ever tasted yet here in the Phil. I would recommend the fondue since a scoop of ice cream is around 150, the fondue (around 760php) includes fruits, a chocolate dip and about 12 mini scoops of ice cream. Even if the scoops are smaller, it's not too small or bite size (it's like a bite and a half to me) which is very good and they let you choose the flavors of the ice cream scoops. it's a good way to have dessert with your family in a way that is worth every centavo. I would recommend the macadamia ice cream with toffee brittle.

this place is too expensive for the quality of ice cream. I ordered the macadamia ice cream with some mix-ins (about 175php). The macadamia ice cream was plain vanilla with no macadamia at all. The mix-ins were not that good either. It's just too expensive. Haagen dazs is far better. And sometimes even cheaper.

Good food and very good prices. When we first arrived, there weren't a lot of guests so we were able to choose our table. The servers were very attentive and I was very impressed. Upon sitting, They served us complimentary bread rolls which were warm and delicious. They were also very alert as to refilling them. They had a lot of stuff on their menu and I had a hard time on choosing what to order. Good thing the server was very -very- knowledgeable about the menu. He knows everything that is on the menu and what goes in every dish. He helped me a lot in deciding what to choose I had the Prawns and Assorted Fruits (360php) for appetizer, it had prawns, grapes, strawberries, apple julienne, mangoes and lettuce greens. The dish was very nice; the prawns were perfectly cooked, the serving was generous, the dressing was flavorful and everything goes well with each other. For my main course, I had the Roasted grouper served with angel hair aglio olio and creamy spinach sauce. I think this was new on their menu. This was delicious as I expected. I must say this restaurant did not let me down. The service was really good; I was very impressed with our food attendant. The steak was also good but I've had better. The plating styles were simpler than Le Souffle's but I think their food is better since I had diarrhea when I ate at Le Souffle's. The experience really depends on what a person orders. And I had a great time at Duo.

This restaurant offers fusions of Asian flavors. A lot of their main dishes are quite sweet but also quite tasty. We ordered the Spicy Squid (165php);which is sweeter than it is spicy. For our main course we ordered the general's chicken(200php) it was also sweet but good. The chicken together with the eggplants complemented each other well. We also tried the crispy tilapia (200php). There was nothing special about the dish; It was actually quite bland and tough. The gising-gising (155php) wasn't really anything special, the restaurant could definitely survive without it. I particularly liked their crispy tadyang (245php). It wasn't very crispy that it was toast but it was very flavorful and tender accompanied by their sweet soy sauce. The service was also good; the servers were always alert and ready to fill our drinks without us having to ask them to. All in all I liked the dining experience except that I won't eat there if I'm in the mood for food with flavors other than sweet.

Because I won 1000php at myfoodtrip.com, I decided to treat myself at a fine dining restaurant. While browsing for good restaurants in the web, I came across Sala. Sala is located near Manila Peninsula in Makati.First they gave us these complimentary amuse bouche. It's portabella mushrooms with some white cheese(maybe ricotta) and some green leaves inside that I would guess as spinach. The pastry is filo. This was very good and tasty. A good start.
The appetizer I chose was the Portabella mushroom, ricotta and thyme ravioli with parmesan and white truffle oil (460php). This was also very yummy and savory. The pasta was al dente and the thickness of the pasta is also perfect. There is so much oil but it was still good. So far so good.
My main course was this veal tenderloin wrapped with prosciutto, roasted, served with braised veal cheeks, some greens, potato gratin and granished with milk foam(980php) . I think this is new. It was excellent. The roast veal was very soft, the braised veal cheeks was just faboulous; it was fall-off-the-bone (if it had bones), the sauce was delicious(creamy, savory brown sauce). I ate the roasted veal by itselg; it did not need any sauce of any kind it was very flavorful by itself. The gratin was also good, can't go wrong with gratin. and the veggies were al dente.
My dessert is called the three rhubarb desserts. A bruleé, a jelly with vanilla custard and rhubarb crumble ice cream (360php). This was the worst. It like ugh. They shouldn't serve desserts anymore. It's just bad. The ice cream was mediocre, the jelly was too sour(but the vanilla cream was good if mixed with the jelly but was not enough) and the worst part was the bruleé tasted like balut (fermented duck egg). This is not a joke. My aunt and I both agreed that the bruleé tasted like balut. Which was gross. Ugly taste. But it did not ruin my mood. I loved Sala. But next time maybe I'll eat dessert somewhere else.

another bad dining experience for me. I ate here for my final project in one of my classes.I had a 3 course meal instead of the set meals. For my first course I had the seafood sampler which was okay. It had grilled prawn, scallop and escargot with bread and a bundle of salad. Not great but okay; mediocre. For my main course I had the rib-eye steak with Wild mushroom sauce which was recommended by the server and bearnaise sauce. It was also forgettable. The steak was cooked well but badly seasoned. The sauce was again okay. My dessert had A Chocolate cake, deep fried ice cream and chocolate coffee souffle. It was supposed to be good. The main problem was that as I was diving into my souffle, it had sticky egg white residues on the bottom which suggests that the egg white mixture had been left alone for a while instead of being immediately used which caused the egg whites to break and fall apart.
I paid almost 2500 for mediocre, forgettable food. And the worst part was that I had diarrhea after eating here. And it was supposed to be a fine dining restaurant. What a shame. The only saving grace was the service which was good, if not great.

I had a very bad dining experience here. I was with my family and it was our first time eating at banana leaf. The food sounds good enough, and we ordered immediately because all of us were hungry. After 15 minutes of waiting, we asked for a follow up. After 30 minutes, we asked again. After 45 minutes, I was very angry already and had to restrain myself from saying something horrible. Our food arrived after more than 1 hour. The table beside us was vacant when we came in, and was filled when we were waiting for our food and they were able to eat before us and leave before us! We wasted our time for mediocre food that was not one bit worth the wait. What was more insulting was that after eating, we were asked if we wanted dessert! It was like no one even noticed. And they have service charge! I have never had a worse dining experience than what I experienced in Banana leaf Greenbelt.

I celebrated my birthday here a few weeks back. I was not disappointed. i would recommend the amazing artichoke dip with melba toasts for appetizer and the US short ribs or the rib eye steak for main course (would not recommend the confit of pork belly though). Very good prices for the quality of food. the service was also okay and the ambiance is wonderful. It's best not to listen too much on the servers though. Our server didn't want me to order the pepper sauce because it was a "bit spicy". It was not spicy at all. Maybe they should start treating all the guests equally. Everything else was excellent though and I would definitely go back there again.

the food is good for it's price. it's like a fusion of mediterranean, asian and american cuisines. I really like the greek salad and would recommend it. The main courses such as the steamed lapu-lapu and barbecued spare ribs brings nothing new to the senses but good nonetheless. The service is adequate; the servers are neither attentive nor dismissive. I also like the pandan tea. the place looks very nice; like a fine dinign establishment. average dining cost is 400-700.

I didn't like their pizzas very much. The pizzas are a bit bland for me and was way too oily. I used a tissue to absorb the oil and it was not enough. Their pizzas are forgettable compared to CPK and Sbarro. They also do not serve water.

I just loved every flavor of baby back ribs here at Tony Roma's. The service could be improved by having the attendants check on us once in a while, refill our drinks or change our plates. Anyway I think that the price is just right for the quality of the food.
