I was intending to write a review entitled "Seven Reasons to Love Seven Corners" after having lunch with my husband there last week. Sadly, I could not come up with my seven reasons. Sorry, I could only think of enough reasons to count on one hand. :-(
I was really excited to go on a hotel buffet lunch again as it has been ages since we last did. I've decided this June that I wanted try all the Hotel Buffets again so I could write updated reviews on them. We've already planned our hotel buffet-hops for the year, and we chose Seven Corners at the Crowne Plaza to be first as it was the nearest to us.
If I had to chose just one word to describe our buffet-lunch experience at Seven Corners, here's what I have to say: DISAPPOINTING. Perhaps the main reason why my husband and I were both disappointed, was because of all the good things we read. That the buffet spread was just awesome, yadda, yadda. Yeah sure, there were good points and a few tasty buffet offerings; but the negative points outnumber the positive ones. We both had such high expectations, so naturally, if those expectations are not met... then... oh well.
Oh my, where should I start... Ok, I'll start with the good things.
Good point number 1: The Small Assortment of Cheese at the Create Your Own Pizza Corner.
I just happen to like all sorts of cheese, period. I ate the slices of cheese alone, didn't have them on my pizza.
Good point number 2: Freshly Grilled Lamb Chops.
Again, I love Lamb Chops... so you can't really go wrong with grilled Lamb Chops right?
Ok, they were good, had them done medium-well, but should've had them well-done.
Nevertheless, they were still yummy :-) I had 5 chops!
Good point number 3: Freshly Grilled Rib Eye Steak.
Wowie and I both love steak, so any place offering eat-all-you-can-steak is a plus for us.
The steak was yummy, in fact, it tasted like the steak I cook at home.
We probably use the same spices for our rub.
Well-done prime rib goodness... Mmmm :-)
and last, but definitely not the least...
Good point number 4: The Spicy Grilled Indian Shrimp
and
Good point number 5: The Spicy Chicken Tandoori
The Spicy Shrimp was seasoned perfectly and had the right amount of spiciness to give me the kick I look for in a spicy dish. The shrimp would have to be tied with the Lamb Chops as my 2 Faves at Seven Corners. Both were really yummy! The Chicken Tandoori was also a hit with us... Delish!
So there, 5 things we like about Seven Corners.
Now, let me just enumerate the things that didn't really leave a good impression.
1. Prawn Tempura was nowhere to be found
2. No dumplings or Peking Duck, despite the "China" corner. A lot of popular Chinese Dishes were missing too. How can you even call it a "China" corner.
3. The Dessert Station was literally EMPTY by 1:15 pm... and was just refilled with a few items 15 minutes before they close the buffet.
4. The Teppanyaki Ice Cream was overrated, and RAN OUT of flavors by 1:30 pm. The only flavors left for us to choose from was Coffee, Mocha, and Pistachio. Great.
5. The cooks, chefs, and servers manning the buffet line were UNFRIENDLY and SLOW. I swear.. of all the servers I asked and spoke to, NOT ONE managed to answer with a smile.
6. The server assigned to the Teppanyaki Ice Cream DID NOT LISTEN to what I wanted, as he was too busy chatting with someone else.
7. There was NOBODY at the Pizza Station... or at least, whenever I checked... so how in the world could I have my Pizza made?
8. The lobsters were not that fresh, they had a strong ammonia taste and scent, even after I had them grilled with butter.
9. Half of the menu items did not have any labels... too bad for first-timers like us at their buffet spread.
10. The staff was not able to monitor the refilling of their chaffing dishes. I had to ask several attendants if they were still refilling it; and this was just at 1:30 pm.
11. There weren't any Filipino Dishes, except for the Lechon de Leche. Seriously, I checked.
I could go on, and on... it also seemed as though they didn't have a whole lot of popular buffet items... and can you imagine a buffet without Prawn Tempura? I know, Tempura... how commonplace, when I can have all the fresh prawns I want... but still... Wow.
I'm not sure why the buffet at Seven Corners did not seem to be the awesome hotel buffet resto everyone was raving about... was it because we went there on a weekday... lunchtime? I really don't know. Maybe someone could enlighten me this one.
I will keep saying this each time a write a negative review about a dining spot. This is, again, based on OUR experience. I know that most of you have only good things to say about Seven Corners, wish I could say the same, but I really can't. The prime rib, lamb chops, and spicy shrimp aren't enough to make me visit Seven Corners anytime soon.

I am at the restaurant as we speak. I have always been a loyal customer but it seems that this particular branch is becoming more and more inflexible! I think th small requests and minor changes make up a good experience in any restaurant. Th wilson branch is totally more better than this branch. The people in Wilson r more accommodating and definitely more flexible!

Hi, Today May 12, 2010 between 10:30 am to 11:30 am, my family and I decided to eat at Inihaw at SM MOA, choosing the meal#1 ( combination of chicken, liempo, squid, mango, bangus, 2 iced tea, 2 rice and laing for 258 pesos) after taking the order and we are about to start to eat, we noticed the VERY BAD SMELL coming from the inihaw na chicken, Kasing baho ng manok na 2 araw na ata sira na ibinigay nila sa amin at muntik pang makain ng 7 months pregnant ko na asawa. So we decided to return the food, mababait naman ang mga crew ng inihaw, they asked if we want to return the order na lang, but instead i just told them to change the chicken to liempo.
Very dissappointed kami sa food ng inihaw, how come hindi nila napansin ang napaka bahong inihaw na manok na yon, hindi sya basta may konting amoy, masasabi ko na bulok na bulok na talaga ang manok na yon.
To the management of inihaw, kindly check the staff assigned today May 12, 2010 and ask them about what happened today and PLEASE give up a feedback within the week, and please do not delete this comment here.

i hope choi garden's food tastes better than hk choi's in atrium. it's not bad, but the food isn't something to rave about either. their sparerib dimsum had taro in it and their salt and pepper spareribs was tough. i've definitely had better salt and pepper spareribs. their roast duck was tasty although the plum sauce is a little too sour. i liked their birthday noodles. could be a little more tastier but i'm glad the sauce wasn't overpowering.

My parents and i went to Dulcinea Greenbelt to have some after dinner coffee. What was served was nor coffee but steeped three day old socks resembling coffee. It was that bad. We went there 15 mins before closing, and a group of people came in 5 mins after us, the staff promptly shooed the potential clients stating that the kitchen is already closed. If i where the owner of Dulcinea i would not approve of the offending gesture, its a bad rep to the clients. When the door says open you should entertain the people coming in your establishment. Going bad to the horrendous coffee, when we complained to one of the staff about the state the coffee was in, we where given the eye, and moved along as if hearing nothing. The churros was still ok, but the overall experience was just one of the worst i ever had. I opted for Dulcinea that night because i wanted to patronize Filipino owned restos but with that experience i should have gone to Max Brenner or Starbucks, or probably Bizu. Don't ever go to DULCINEA GREENBELT. Very poor customer service, discriminating and does not do justice to good food.

I don't mind paying for good pasta, but the quality of their pasta dishes do not match the price IMHO. Seafood pasta incredibly bland, almost inedible.

Classic chicken is still good. Their sandwiches, I'm not crazy about them, they don't taste as they as they should for their price. Their ribs are okay, I just wish they had more meat, though they aren't as bony as the ribs of Gumbo ( ribs of Gumbo so not worth paying for)
I haven't tried their burger, hope it's good

My friend and I shared their bean soup and chicken enchiladas. They had big servings for the reasonable prices in their menu. The soup was really good, the chicken enchilada would have been perfect if not for the "sweet" sauce which made it more pinoy than a really good Mexican dish. I hope they tweek their recipe to make it more on the sour salty side. In general, it was a good experience. The waiters were very alert and friendly too. =)

Our dinner food was Dapitang pride which is good for 5 people, that included mad rice which is so good but was a lot, also came with some pork and a variety of seafoods. Dapitang pride is affordable na rin. Tuna and crabmeat sisig was good but i still prefer the pork sisig...the crabmeat was crabmeatierrrr and i believed i could taste some chunks of chicken with it?... Well my brothers told me that it tastes like chicken meat besides the tuna and crab. The crazy chili calamari which i thought was fried but it was grilled...taste good tho spicy and stuffy! We enjoyed listening the live music singer(the girl and the guitarist guy)...you guys are awesome! My family couldn't see u guys from the back and i guessed it was not only us so i suggest if u guys sing in the middle so that everyone would see ur music performance.

Went to the place, it was not the same as described online. We were also surprised that they do not accept walk-in customers since the "strictly for reservations" notice is just posted in her website and not on the restaurant links. You should see the place in the afternoon and you would discover that the place is not very clean. When I asked the owner for a menu, she replied "oh, it is posted in the website, just check it there" (WOW, THIS IS THE 1ST TIME I'VE ENCOUNTERED A RESTAURANT WITHOUT A MENU!!!) Wonderful! I am not recommending this place to anyone. I am so frustrated with my experience with them.

I ordered the chicken (steak?) and rice and mango shake. The chicken and rice was beautifully plated, the plate was square, the chicken had yummy sauce and a healthy serving of rice was placed in a ceramic cup. The mango juice tasted good, slightly watery but still good. Servers/food attendants were very, very polite. My bill was P235. Because there was no service charge, I added 15% tip, kawawa naman kasi yung staff.
I'd like to try their pizza's and pasta's next time. I'd also like to try their budget meals, baka okay naman, so as to keep the bill from surpassing P200.

I was surprised to see that there is a veranda at the back of Porkee's overlooking Capitol Hills. It is at par with Dencio Ayala Height's ambiance. I love the acoustic nights as well, and the buttered chicken. But the service is tooooo slow.

Ordered Cheeseburger , Fries and Red Tea.
Cheeseburger was okay, tasted like a better version of Minute Burger / Burger Machine. Similar flavors, meet was somewhat sweet.
Fries were incredibly soggy.
Red Tea tasted very grainy for some reason. A little unpleasant to the throat. Doesn't taste bad, but the abrasive/grainy/"sandpapery" feel is somewhat disturbing.
Between this burger joint and Wham burger, Wham's a lot better

Definitely a must try --- I suggest that you begin your meal with Harira Soup (if you're dining w/ a friend - order the bowl size and the waiter would gladly split it for the 2 of you). It's really tasty and not your typical soup. Chicken Tangine with couscous is really good and you'll certainly finish your plate in a jiffy! PLUS the ambience is so relaxing and cute. No boisterous laughter whatsoever.

The food is great! not that really awesome tho, but uniquely made, that makes this PB Co. a must list on everyone's food tripping adventure! All most, all of their menu are made with peanut butter!
I tried their PB Burger and Cold Asian, that is the talk of the town, and I liked it! So much so that I got carried with their specialty that I went there 3x in a week! wow! I know! It's weird, but I really liked it! I LOVE PEANUT BUTTER!!! especially the Elvis! yum yum... How about milks shakes! I Wish!
I heard from the PB Co. staff that they are still creating more additional for their menu. Milks Shakes please...
The downside, not much seats available. Kinda hot in the area, I think... I'm not sure if it's because it's situated along the entrance, or the mall's air conditioning is at fault. And the location is at the north area only. I heard they will be opening a store soon in down south, hopefully in Rockwell or Greenbelt n_n
And oh! They also have a branch in SM Clark Pampanga.
I'll be coming back for more... I'm just glad I can still eat Peanut Butter! Eat while i still can!!!
hahaha...
They have this FB account too...

This max outlet has an impressive service the waiters and the senior supervisors where warm and quitre reseptive. Undotunately Max Food was very disappointing. for one the Banana Catsup which I expected has greatly deteriorated from Bad to worse. I cane BAck fron The states to savor Max Frieds Chicken and its Mafran Banana catsup with those Banana pulp and tiny seeds in it and the most tangy banana flavor that really Blended well with the crispy chciken skin which never was. A great dis appoinment indeed. The Chicken lacked that strong pork fat aroma distinctively fried chciken built was gone. I know for a fact that Max chicken was fied in 50% pork fat and 50% vegtable oil. Now the good old flavor is gone for the pricew of commercialism. I will no longer bring my friends to Max restaurant and I would not recommendniether should Max claim they still frie their chciken the way they use too.

I came across this restaurant as I work adjacent to the Mall. Its nicely decorated with huge picture of Singapore River and the famous Merlion at the shop front... how appropriate.
I am not too keen on curry but for the past 3 months, I hv been visiting them twice a week at the peak, I enjoyed the Laksa (best in town), Chicken Curry (so tender, this is not the same as our filipino curry ok), Beef Rendang (really a cut above Culderetta) and Fish Head Curry. I am so addicted to their curries.
Other dishes I enjoyed there are Kueh Pai Tee (Appetizer), Chili Crab with the fried Bread, Kang Kong, Lemon Chicken, Fried Squid, Honey Glazed Ribs so tender and yummy!
I like their style of operation as they offer the Singapore famous Kaya Toast and very good Malaysian style coffee during the Merienda time and .....
Special priced Merienda Dishes of Rice Toppings at P99 and P128 with dishes such as Rice with Asado, or Lemon Chicken, Hainanese Chicken, Beef Brisket etc total 6 varieties.
Lunch time... they are always full so go there early or have late lunch, I do that!

Our dinner started ok - we ordered the usual pork sisig. However, we had to have a quick one so we decided to order take out food for our midnight snack. We both chose the chicken sandwich (grilled chicken breast with tomatoes). When I got home I found out that the chicken sanwich I ordered was prepared and packed minus the chicken!! I reside near the area so I decided to come back for a replacement. I asked the waitress - it was a chicken sandwich I ordered what happened to the chicken??! She answered back- baka lumipad?? Duh!!! No wonder they have no more followers. It was a saturday night and only a few people were inside their place. I decided not to make a scene anymore because I would only be stooping down to their super lowww IQs. Some people are born with their brain as small as that of a cockroach!!

With the reviews below for this boracay restaurant. I think this place deserves the reputation. If you are looking where to eat in boracay, this Spanish retaurant does it! I like the way this place is set up, cozy and homey. Not to mention friendly waitresses that are there for you when you needed service. One more thing, this is the only place where they serve Spanish, Mexican, and Cuban. For any good restaurant in boracay, Ole has the service factor.
The price on this boracay restaurant may be a bit high but I don't mind, the food, the service, the place is all great.
They also have a facebook account, you can be a fan and when you travel and looking where to eat in boracay you might want to put this on your itinerary:

You might be fooled by the simple presentation, but the food was great. We had the Crispy Tilapia, really tasty. Our first round of Lechon Kawali was right to the crisp, but not quite so when we got our second order. Another good thing there is the grilled chicken with tamarind sauce. The sauce was just right, sweet and a little sour. Our European friends, who were here for vacation, even liked it, especially the Calamares with the spicy sauce (I forgot what it's called). But the serving size is just ok for 1-2 persons. Would like to call for Bigger Servings!

aristocrat will forever be my favorite restaurant, not only because of its delicious chicken bbq that is tender and so tasty and the pancit canton, full of assorted toppings of meat and veggies. since i am a pancit lover, their canton is the filipinized version.no chinese flavor after taste. their halo halo is as well excellent ,not too sweet and just right. my husband's favorite is the karekare, the thick sauce of peanut and the very tender meat , melts in the mouth. the very reason , that after each meal we still buy a "take out" order. aristocrat too. was the place, where my husband and I celebrated valentines day way back 2001,just a month after I suffered a stroke. still partially weak, he brought me there, knowing its my favorite place. that was so sweet and worth remembering indeed. cant say anything about the good service, definitely, waiters are always on the rush to satisfy the customers. comfortable ambiance and clean, and yes, even the guard is courteous too.

I just love Mom and Tina's Bakery Cafe! I have been curious for this resto for the longest time now.. and I always make kulit to my boyfriend to eat there.. and at last, after several whinings and pangungulit, he gave in along with his mom.
And to say that the interior of the place and the taste of the food is superb would be an understatement. We love the homey cozy feeling.. the kind wherein you feel that you're actually eating in your own kitchen. The wallpapers are nice, even the Christmas decos! The couch is beautiful even the dining table. But it does not stop there. The food is heaven. Absolute heaven. We ordered Paella, and man, was it good! I do not eat rice for almost 4 yrs now.. but I made an exception last Saturday. It was Übertasty but not really nakakaumay. We also ordered Callos and Chicken Alexander which are also superb! And this I'm saving for the last, 3 words for you --- Baked Oreo Cheesecake. I am a fan of anything sweet and have tried numerous cheesecakes in the past, and let me tell you that this went on top of my list. It was yummy, the crust is delicious, and the flower chocolates thingy on top are absolute genius!
I'm so looking forward to eat here again.. and next time I'm going to try the Strawberry Cheesecake and the Sheperd's Pie. Ü

So far one of the best cakes in the country! AFter eating a slice, you'll be asking for another one. Its not that sweet as it looks and the chiffon cake is so soft. We make it a point to order the cake ahead of the celebration as they require it. If you are lucky to go in the morning time and you forgot to place an order of their cake a day before, you might be able to buy one. I think they just do extras in less than 10.

Paella is the best on that restaurant. too bad we have to leave before we can get back.
We were on a 3 night vacation on the island and sunday was our last day. We left boracay at 2pm, but prior to that, before departing at d'mall, we decided to have lunch at Ole just to try something 'big time' before we leave. And you know what? THis is not a disappointment! The paella is freaking superb and the tacos are just oozing with cheese, which is something that I personally like when i order something with cheese. Me and my girlfriend dont mind paying the 1000 bill. The food is superb, not to mention that the waitresses are cute, no one was rude, great service, and they have free wifi too! Just perfect to check my emails before going back to (ugh!!) work again today.
If you are in Boracay, please do visit at ole, I recommend it big time.
You should check out thier website too, I was able to get the owner's business cared. Definitely going to eat there when we get back ofr our anniversary.

Food was great! Loved the rolled pizza idea, even if Yellow Cab was the one that got popular for COPYING the idea from you guys. Anyway, what makes the experience great was the fact that your staff was very attentive to our needs. It was very personalized. It shows that the service crew was well taught by the owners, as I looked on the bright walls with feedback from friends and customers, it shows the intent to provide excellent service to it's diners. And as expected, at the end of our meal, we were asked if we'd like to write a message on their wall. Overall, definitely a place to eat at tonight for dinner. =)

at first i thought walnut creek was mostly about walnuts, i stand corrected, my friend from california said that its a place in california, a very simple yet dainty community, very much like the bakeshop. i should say the bakeshop caters the most unusually yet common cakes and pastries. yes, its ironic, their cakes and pastries looks and sounds like a common bakeshop item, yet once you have tasted it, it will make you ponder.. like their cakes: for me it looks like a common sponge cake, but i stand corrected when i tasted it, it taste like ice cream, very unique. Their coffee concoction are also unique, i must say cause im a coffee connoisseur. Their coffee blend is not arabic, robust, nor barako, its like a mixture of mild excelsa and a hint of arabica. Their buttercream meringue bars is your typical sansrival, with a twist, unlike other sans rival, you can eat a dozen of these bars without puking due to sweetness or butteriness, its sweetness is just perfectly adjusted. well, i must go back to try more of their products for sure.

One of the best resto bar I have visited. I love their food, its affordable but all delicious specially their vegetable kare-kare and calamares. Their combo meals are also superb coz its budget-friendly and just enough for a group of people. Aside from the excellent food choices, the ambience is cozy, just right for those people looking for some fun and relaxation. The customer-service is also one of the best thing in this resto bar, the Live Band- as part of the entertainment also invites audience participation. I even once jammed with their band and been appreciated by the crowd. Thats why for me, this is really a nice experience to try.

I'm giving this rating in comparison to other Japanese restaurants here in P.I. only. When I go to a Japaanese resto, I always go for the raw food and I love it here. Fish cuts are fresh, has beautiful color and shiny from it's natural fish oil. I love their uni spaghetti (I put japanese chili flakes) and spicy salmon roll (this is a request, menu only says spicy salmon sushi). I usually don't go for 'cooked' makis but I like their Futo maki a lot, I ordered it in other resto and I was disappointed. I just wish they would also serve yellow tail (I only get it from Sugi which is an expensive jap resto).
I give 5 for the price because compared to other restos with the same price range, food taste and quality do not even come close to Kimono Ken's. As for higher priced japanese restos (like Sumo Sam's), KK has fresher fish than most of them.

i eat at Chipotle frequently in the states. I can see how they more or less tried to get the same concept- from the cilantro rice, to having the option of fajita style burritos with the bell peppers an onions instead of heavy beans.. i ordered the carne asada burrito. ok sana but the meat was very cold, not to mention super cebo already. It was never like that in chipotle.. and my burrito ended up to be like a cold salad coz the veggies and salsa cooled the already cold cilantro rice and beans.. ok na sana. but definitely they should monitor the food temperature to maintain it's maximum taste.

I might not go back to any food chains or resto anymore after i tried banapple.

I ordered their famous bibingka soufflé with a cup of brewed coffee which, in their case, is kapeng barako. The coffee came with a polvoron that was so sweet I didn't taste the dried mango bits or coffee flavor it supposedly had. Its sweetness nearly ruined my palate that it took several sips for their supposedly strong kapend barako to taste like coffee again. When it did, it didn't really taste strong. Forewarned by the polvoron, I tasted the soufflé before pouring any of the sweet cream it came with. It was already a bit on the sweet side for me as is. The souffle is original (the owner made the prize-winning recipe) though, tastes good and was well prepared. With far less sugar, stronger coffee, better polvoron or none at all, I' would give a higher rating.

it has a unique pasta flavor, the ambiance is great, it brings back the memory of my lola,
, most of your branch has the same interior, they will only differ on the atmosphere, i just notice your branch in makati, it has a very sad atmosphere, parang ang bigat and ang hirap kumain, you know what i mean, there is something wrong or sadness in the aura of the store, i dont know how to explain it, i just feel it, im not sure, if its bcoz of the staff? or the location? or the dim lights? anyway in terms of food, very consistent, service just fine, Goodluck and more power to TOSH!!!

Main problem and difficulty of opening a foreign food joint here in the philippines hinge on a simple fact: Chefs must be trained well and on the food they serve long before they start to serve the public.

I am a Singaporean businessman living in the Philippines. I come across Nasi Lemak restaurant about 16 months ago and been a regular customer ever since. Nasi Lemak serves the most authentic Singapore food here in the Phils.
The Singaporean Laksa here is awesome. Right rice noodle used (not pancit kantong) and the laksa gravy is very full of flavor. I always request for extra gravy and I would consume every drop of it.
I strongly recommend the following dishes which stood the test of time:
1) Fried squid w/ salt and pepper - crispy on the outside and real tender squid.
2) Kueh Pai Ti - must have appetizer, mas-masarap every bite!
3) Bean Curd Rolls - Nice tasty rolls and fresh.
4) Thai Green Curry Chicken - best Thai curry here and in Phils.
5) Char Kway Teow - House favorite! Really really the best "Pat Thai" I have ever tasted here.
6) Hainanese Chicken
7) Honey Glazed Ribs - So tender and yummy.

Healthy Kitchen is quite nice, I have now had both the salmon wrap and chicken mango wrap. Without the mayonnaise these two have potential to be quite bland (with ginger mayo they are delicious) - but overall all for a tasty healthy vegetarian meal its a lovely little place. Also the food is quite reasonable in price for the Serendra area most main courses are 200-300 - and the wraps are quite large!

seeing as i live in Eastwood, i thought i'd give this new place a try. there seemed to be a lot of people and we even saw Claudine Barretto eating inside.
per their suggestion, i tried their herb pumpkin soup, which i thought was pretty good. then i ordered their seafood basil pasta. it was alright, the pasta at Delifrance tastes better if that gives you any idea. on a positive note, the servings are huge and i think they can go for two servings.
cons...like what everyone else has been saying, WAAAAY too many staff and they're really annoying. i don't know if it was the way i looked or the way i was dressed (i just came from a workout at Fitness First) but they weren't very nice. they kept taking away any plates/utensils/cups they deemed "unnecessary" for me. i thought that was really annoying..wait until the person's finished before you start clearing their plates. VERY RUDE. i was boxing up my food and some random guy (i'm guessing he's a manager since he wasn't in uniform) grabbed my box and started taping it up for me. what am i? 3?
all in all, unless i'm dying of starvation, i won't ever come back to this place again. service was lousy and the food was ok..i'm guessing this was Claudine's first time to eat there too.

my friends and i went there last Sunday Aug 23 2009, there was no available seats inside the resto so we opted to seat outside... we placed our order and since we haven't seen each other for a few months now, we ended up chatting and catching up while ewe wait for our food... then one of us noticed that it has been an hour since we placed our orders. so we had it followed up. the waitress told us that we should wait for another 10 to 15 minutes more.. we were hungry so we had no choice.. and guess what.. it rained very very hard! (we have pictures to prove it) we got wet and we huddled up in the middle so as not to get more wet. that's the only time our food arrived, but it was not complete, they would bring 3 dishes, then after 10 minutes (we have to follow it up every time so that the rest of our orders will be served) they would bring another set... they even forgot my boyfriend's order, we were almost finished eating. the 2 extra rice and the carbonara we ordered were never served so we had it cancelled. when the food arrived it was supposed to be sizzling right? so we the beef will cook, but that wasn't the case. we ordered bottomless iced tea but we were only served twice, they didn't even gave us water.. we finish our food quick so as not get more soaked with the rain. the floor was flooded around 2 inches pool of water so we had to put our feet up while eating. IT WAS A VERY VERY VERY POOR SERVICE! we know that they don't ask for service charge but does that mean you have to be rude and give bad service? their resto is not a carinderia were you pay a little and you dont expect any service at all. the quality of the food and service is rip-off! the manager didnt even bother to check on us outside probably she doesnt want to get wet. almost all of the crew stayed inside the resto and only two were working outside to serve us (our table consisting of 8 people and another table with around 7 people). they all are afraid to get wet probably.. what annoys us is that if the food should have been served in around 30minutes or less then we would have not been soaked! we did not even hear from the manager a little apology would have lessen our annoyance. they didnt even find a way to get us seats inside the resto when the people inside were done eating! they could have asked them to give us their seats and have them seat on side of the resto! the male waiter who was serving our food was using an umbrella and water running down his umbrella poured on my friend 3 freaking times! on her back, on her face and on her food! and we never even heard a sorry!!!! an apology would lessen our annoyance but there was none! we were so pissed!! and to add to that two of us got sick the day after! all of this would never happen if they did something!!!!!

been there last september 29 and the place was jam packed as in...we waited for 25 minutes before we have to be seated...what so nice to this resto is that they served chips and iced tea while you wait for your turn nice idea...when we sat down near their kitchen i was really amazed with the little jukebox..sooo cute...so much of that..we ordered philly cheese and rocket double burger with onion rings on the side instead of french fries and choco milk shake (really love it!!!)..the patty is juicy though its little pricey hehehe...the server is not that much attentive though they really are good dancers it really entertained me and my friend while waiting for our orders to be served...maybe they should add more couches for the customer to seat more comfortably...

I remember the first time my family went to Hossein's. We couldn't figure out where to eat in Serendra but since Mediterranean/Indian/Persian was something we all loved we zeroed in on this one.
I was immediately impressed with the interiors. Staff was cordial and we were seated immediately.
We don't really eat meat so we ordered the fish bulgari which turned out to be a substantial portion. Of course we had naan to go with that. My daughter always has to have shrimp curry and we always order dal. Don't forget the lassi it's great sweetened too.
Order the sampler which has all kinds of kebabs. Overall, whatever you pick, it will ultimately be delicious. Enjoy!

Went to Steak MD last night... Ordered big portion of Porterhouse steak (P300) grilled to medium, 4pcs buffalo wings, shredded corn, mashed potato, pork steak meal.
The food took so long to be served and I asked if they can serve the Buffalo wings ahead as appetizer. The waitress was a bit surprize and went in the kitchen to check.
She came out after a minute and said they were just going to prepare it after 15mins!!!
They still served the buffalo wings ahead of the main course. The wings were around 75% done, need more frying and thier sweet sauce is like the Thai sweet chili sauce sold in bottles. Its a big disappointment to start!
Then they served the 2 porterhouse steaks which look like a bad meat from a supermarket... You can the way it looks... Its even terrible when I chew a few slices. I have to spit out the meat. Its tasted bad "malansa" and to fibrous... sobrang maugat that I had to ask the waitress to well done the steaks.
The mashed potatoes were bad as well. It looks dull yellow, cold and not appealing at all! When I tasted it, the mashed potato in KFC is 5X better! KFC is value for money and way better! I am sure they used cheap margarine in their mashed potato.
The pork steak came out and it tasted fine. Looks appealing but still too expensive for pork steak meal (P130). The pork was done just right but we can still taste yun lansa ng kanre.
The shredded corn was perfect, we finished the corn since it the only food that we think they served right.
Our porterhouse steak came out again from the kitchen. They FRIED it! Its too oily na and they have to well done the steaks dahil maugat sobra! Really bad meat! THey cannot cheat using tenderizers in the marinade because maugat talaga!
We paid the bill of around P980. We should have went to Mc Do order a Quater Pounder, Brother's Burger or Burger King.
It is not worth going back to Steak MD. No wonder they closed in Blue Wave.
You should try the the steaks in Gulliver's. P950 you can order a decent steak.
The Slice and Dice steaks for P99 is better than Steak MD. Both still cheat their steak flavor making them sweet. Tsk Tsk Tsk!
Do not eat there. They were good and value for money before. Suki ako before.. Thumbs down for Steak MD.
* On the way home... we passed by BK and ordered Angus Steak Burger P180 to make us smile on the way home... sama n talaga ng food ninyo Steak MD!

Filipino comfort food with innovations! You'd remember how your mom used to make it!
Menu is designed to give a few laughs. Been there with family almost every week, nope, we don't own it. We just love the food. Plus I still laugh when I read the menu.
Dishes that stand out:
The Potchero ni Tankeko - is one of a kind! This serving is good for 2-3.
Sinigang na Baboy, my daughter can't stop saying she loves their version.
Swak na Swak Chicharon Bulaklak - really good with the vinegar and KAMIAS that comes with it.
Other dishes I've tried: Beefsteak (ok lang), Calamari ng Tamad (yup, malasa na... no dips needed), and the other Crispy stuff (when they say its crispy... it is CRISPY!)

Fez has reinvented itself specially their menu, Moroccan inspired. I've been there several times before and loved their food but now it's even more luscious. I highly recommend their savory and succulent chicken tagine you'll go pollo loco! The food pleasure comes along with a great ambience. I just have a comment though, I wish they could have wide choices of desserts to offer. It'll be great to have a very fulfilled and blissful gastronomical experience!

pho bac is quite pricey, and so is the other vietnamese restaurant.....for the tyoe of food that they serve. though their food is tasty, it can easily be whipped up at home. for one, vietnamese noodles are readily available, just add veggies and some broth, the instant noodles would taste like the ones served in restos.
honestyly, i would not go back to pho bac.... their rival is much better with a better menu.. but the price? ---depends if you really want to pay that much

food is delicious and well priced.. their specialty pasta like the vietnamese style pasta is unique, it can only be found in TOSH. in addition, when i asked for the recipe, they obliged. the waiters seemed to be well informed about the meals they are serving.
the desserts too, like the turtle pie was pure chocolate for only 95 pesos. all of the desserts can be shared by two people.
the pasta can be shared too. another hit was the gambasetti. shrimps in hot tomato sauce... delicious.
im a loyal fan of TOSH. price+service+taste

Dinner at 7pm, we were a hungry eager group of 10. Huge mistake to have chosen Zaifu, Rockwell. (Same owner as Isshin) My son ordered katsudon and as they were about to serve the dish, the rice bowl toppled over. Thinking that no one saw what had happened, the server returned the food into the bowl, used her hands to fix it and then SERVED IT! My son complained that he saw it fall but the server denied it. My son insisted that he saw what happened and had it changed. I immediately confronted the server and all she did was say sorry and that it won't happen again. (IT BETTER NOT!) I asked for the manager or the supervisor, then I saw the server talk to the cashier regarding the issue. Apparently, the manager was not around. I complained to the cashier and asked for the name and number of the manager. I also asked for the manager's cellphone number but she said she didn't know. She wrote on a piece of paper: TERESITA VARGAS and a landline number. I asked to borrow their landline but the cashier said they didn't have.
I returned to my table and used my cellphone to call the landline number. It rang and so did the phone by the cashier!! I got so furious and walked back up to them. They did not give me the contact number of the manager instead they gave me the store's number. At this point, they then claim that they have no way to get in touch with the manager even if problems arise. Is this how they run their business? I told them they were a bunch of liars.
Outside, I saw the server reporting to a well dressed lady and I figured she was Teresita Vargas. In fact a friend of mine who also ate in Zaifu that night confirmed she was the owner. I told my friend what happened.
Right after we parted ways, I saw my friend talking to Teresita Vargas. After their short conversation, I expected her to enter her restaurant and do what a manager/owner should have done. Settle the issue, talk to me and then to the server.
No. Instead, she walked away as she saw me about to approach her. I was just going to ask her to re-train her staff for the sake of her clients.
Please boycott Zaifu and Isshin. Gross. Poor Management. Poor Sanitation.

I would just wanna add some bad experience that I had in this specific resturant here in 'Sta lucia Shakeys". Mind you this branch is the only branch that I had dine that I had never felt so insulted because of one crew name "Elmer" . God! I went with my sister and nephew hoping to get a better service. I think this happened around May of this year. I was in my pambahay mode cause I thought of going out and paying my bill and since my sister was with me we and since it was a mall why not have eat. I had some cash with me so why not. Its not all the time that I get to treat them. Sabe ko sge go. We were like in the side entrance of sta lucia so most likely the first resturant that you would see is shakeys which is like the closes to the entrance and exit. Since we are also hungry we decided to just eat there. The other stuffs were well trained and very polite except for this elmer guy. God forbids that he seems to be a regular employee. I was a little hesistant but still decided to take order. After taking our order he left and hoping that we will had our meak taken care of within the next 20 mins we were hoping to atleast get our beverage atleast since its part of order. 10 more mins past over like 30 mins we were already wondering if we can get atleast water or softdrinks thats part of the meal. We patiently wait for this person but to no avail. HE stood there as if we didnt asked anything. The next table that seems to dress well for the resturant was well taken care off. I would understand if they were order earlier than us but no. THere order was taken care of earlier than us. So we decided to just asked someone cause the elmer person was not taking care of us as a customer. There was a temp crew that assisted us. But this elmer ignored us completely. We finish the meal and was completely disappointed.Titignan ba nila tayo cause of what we are wearing. HIndi na ako kakain dito. But when it was payment time biglang nabuhay tong elmer. Haler he went as if he was expecting some sort of a tip. Yah tip he got. WE asked for a suggestion slip from another crew and PUT his name in bold words that he is the worst person in this place. I hope this gets to him. I have no bad blood for the company itself. I enjoy eating in shakeys but mind you there are still persons or crew that look at physical appearance. I hope hindi ganito lage. Cause we are paying customers. I'm not eating for free naman eh. I know how to give tips and know when the service and food is ok too.

Uno has always been the place for our family. regular days, special occassions, we're there. we've been eating there for more than 10 years now, and the staff have always been welcoming and their chef is the best. the food changes quarterly, and you can even request for your dishes to be split so that you can share the best of what your group ordered. we always opt for their everyday specials, for we wanted to taste something new everytime, and they never failed us. try their fish dishes, you'll fall in love right away. i particularly love their chicken ala funghi (never forgot it though it was served to me 4 years ago). their pumpkin soup is simply the best. i just wish they make it a regular dish in their menu. heehee. the place is cozy, perfect for friends/family dinners.

From the people behind Chef Quarter (who made fine dining cuisine affordable) comes Uncle Cheffy's. Its the more laidback counterpart of Chef's Quarter, which offers servings good enough for sharing.
Must-try is the Memphis Beef Ribs Fingers with three dipping sauces. The beef was tender, fall-off-the-bone kind! Yummy! This dish was served with salad greens and marble potatoes.
As a dessert lover, we ordered three different desserts: the Sweet Potato Creme Brulee, the Chocolate Roulade, and the Peppermint Cheesecake.
Let's start off with my favorite among the three, the Sweet Potato Creme Brulee. The creme brulee was perfectly done. Underneath is a "crust" of the smooth and subtly buttery sweet potato mash.
The Chocolate Roulade is an ice cream cake composed of white and chocolate cake / ice cream. Its good too. Perfect for kids.
For the adventurous type, try the Peppermint Cheesecake. Soft foamy cheesecake which tastes like peppermint pattie. It comes with a dark chocolate sauce drizzle. However, I discovered that it tastes even better if you request for MORE dark chocolate sauce and dip the cake. Very York! Sinful!
The service staff is friendly and attentive. And, they truly understand the meaning of the word "bottomless." You don't have to call their attention for a refill. They do it on their own...and without being obtrusive. Like what they say, a good wait staff (in a fine dining restaurant) is close to invisible.
Will definitely go back for more!

We were so tired from our out of town trip so we decided to eat out instead of cooking. We went to Giligan’s Festival Mall wearing our shorts and slippers. We didn’t bother to change our clothes since the place isn’t fancy.
After eating dinner, we decided to drink beer before heading home. We ordered 2 rounds of their beer promo – 3 San Mig Light for P100. The waiter – Ronald Tenorio, took our order, but after about 10 minutes informed us that we could not avail the promo since we are wearing slippers and shorts. He then pointed that napkin holder stating such policy. There was a piece of paper taped in the napkin holder stating - Male customers wearing short sleeves and shorts OR slippers and shorts are not allowed to drink beer.
I asked what the logic is behind the policy. According to him, the policy is to keep bystanders away from their store. “Marami po kasing kabataan na pumupunta dito para lang mag beer.” At that time, we already consumed more than P1000 worth of food! He then told us that we can still order beer but it will be at regular prices. He said that we can’t avail the promo because of what we are wearing. Ang labo ng policy! I was pissed but was so tired to argue. I tried asking for the store manager, the waiter said that he is the officer in charge. We just paid for the bill and left not leaving a tip.
With this experience, I will never dine at their store again!
By the way, at that time I was wearing sandals that cost more than P2000. Hindi ito Spartan or Beachwalk lang.
For those who are planning to go to Gilligan’s, make sure that you are well dressed; otherwise, you may also be discriminated.

When one of my uncles came for a visit here in the Philippines, we decided to eat in this place since it was the most accessible at the time and the food samples/decorations that you can see from the outside will really attract customers.
Though I remember waiting for long before our food has been served, I really liked what we ate. I got myself a chicken sandwich and fries and they were really delicious, considering that it didn't even cost us more than 200 bucks for that. I didn't even get to finish all the sandwiches (they serve it in three, all filled with chicken chunks) because our table was near the air-conditioner, and I was freezing. I also got myself Mango Shake which was equally yummy.
One thing I didn't like about the restaurant, though, is that the place is so small. It's so hard to move, especially when one has a big group of friends with him.
But definitely, I'll go back to there!

My little daughter and I have dined at this branch only twice so far--once last July and again yesterday-- but I think we'll be coming back for more, especially since there are lots of new items on their menu (e.g., Fish n Chips, Chicken Caesar Salad, Ribeye Steak, pasta dishes, etc.). There's also a new way of ordering wherein the customer will be the one to fill in the order form. At The Sizzlin' Pepper Steak, the food gets cooked on a sizzling hot plate right in front of you. In fact, you have to turn over the meat after a few minutes so it cooks evenly. We've tried the Pepper Rice Meals (first the beef, then the salmon) and we're very, very satisfied. What I love most is how flavorful the sauce is (by the way, you can now choose from among many different sauces). It definitely has that taste that will make you crave it every now and then, if not often.

As i sit here writing and fulfilling one of my long overdue projects, biting into my leftover Philly Cheese Steak, (we ordered more than we can chew really but more on that later) I present to you...CHARLIE'S GRIND and GRILL! You choose from available items on their blackboard menu and order it all from their outside counter. We chose to have of course, the STARVING serving of the Philly Cheese Steak, Chili and Cheese Dog, and a an order of fries. While eagerly awaiting for our orders to arrive, I set up our table with the available condiments. We sat inside, fully air conditioned, well lit, and clean. Friendly wait staff were at the ready and on call. First to arrive was our Chili and Cheese Dog served with roughly diced onions on the side. As you can see, I couldn't wait to dive in! If it wasn't for Toni who reminded me to take a picture of it first, I would've gone through the hot dog in a few minutes. And she did not hesitate as well in taking a picture of me taking a bite out of it! The hot dog is juicy from end to end, chili and cheese is great, and I like that they served the raw onions on the side because I like to take my raw onions in just small doses. Next up was the Starving serving of the Cheese Steak! The Cheese Steak is served with salsa and Jalapeños on the side! I love Jalapeños! The menu boasted of Triple A Batangas Beef so we were expecting the best. They did not disappoint and we were surprised as well at the size of the serving! I could imagine that the Starving portion can feed at least 3 or at most 4 people! Topped with bell peppers, caramelized onions, and cheese sauce the sandwich is as good as I pictured it. And they did not skimp on the beef. That is a deep sandwich. Wonderful wonderful! I only wish that they would finely chop the Jalapeños so you can evenly spread it across your sandwich and have Jalapeño bits with each bite. Maybe I can request that for next time. Of course, what's a Burger joint without the fries. Crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside, served with ketchup. A nice side dish to round out the meal! Good thing we arrived a bit early, around 7pm, because by the time we finished at about 8pm, people were streaming in and almost all the tables were taken already. Overall, it was a very good meal, and the best Philly Cheese Steak I've had so far. We've tried Elbert's Cheese Steaks at Rockwell. Charlie's Grind and Grill has a fuller and bigger serving at almost the same prices as Elbert's. Charlie's would be #1 in my book and Elbert's a close #2. So, as I finish up writing this food blog entry, about to take my last perfect bite of my leftover Philly Cheese Steak with that last bit of Jalapeño, (which is still good by the way with all the juices already absorbed by the bread, drool, I want more) I would like to say cheers to Anton Diaz for giving me the inspiration to pursue this small project of mine and introducing me to the best Philly Cheese Steak in town! Thank you to my constant foodie companion, Toni. We will definitely go back to try the Angus Beef Burger! Until the next food trip! Here's to good food, fine wine, and great company!
