The food is so great. Karekare, pinatayong manok, pork sisig, pinakbet and spicy squid heads are our favorite. The waiters, waitresses and store managers are accommodating. We have been spending our new years in this place for 3 years now. We love Lamesa Grill, specially Mall of Asia branch. :)

Even though my palate is jaded from eating too much Filipino food , I still think La Mesa Grill is notable because of its unique concept of having built-in grills on the table such as those found in Korean/Japanese restaurants. It's just a pity that the whole place lacks space though they were able to maximize the Filipino design. The menu itself isn't very long, which is good. I like their big platters of meat and seafood specialties which take the headache out of ordering.

Ever since it opened two weeks ago at the SM Mall of Asia, this restaurant fronting the Manila Bay started treating people to an unconventional way of grilling meat and seafood right on its tables. Take the pleasure of personally grilling your own Blue Marlin Belly, green shells or tahong, prawns, and pork over charcoal fire as though you're just in your own backyard with your family. With bamboo walls and ceiling, veneer lamps hanging over each table and Ifugao chairs to sit on, La Mesa Grill makes a very conducive place to enjoy pure Filipino cuisine.

According to Sicat, the idea of La Mesa came from Pangilinan, who wanted to integrate the concept of grilling food right at your own table such as those done in most Korean, Japanese, and Australian food establishments.
