I've finally figured out what is wrong with Annabel Lee's tasteless cheesecakes. There's too much unflavored gelatin and too little of everything else. We tried the Bacardi Rum Raisin Cheesecake at a friend's recommendation and it's just as bland as every other cheesecake variant we've tried in this place. Where's the Bacardi? More importantly, where's the cheese? It's not fair because their cheesecakes don't come cheap! It's like eating cold unflavored gelatin on top of a graham crust. The non-descript taste is classic Annabel Lee... you just have to taste to believe... if you're willing to waste at least P100 for a slice.

We went all the way from San Juan to try it out, as there was no Promenade branch yet at the time. We didn't taste anything that we liked. My friend even said that one cake was no-bake.
