Ababu is our "spur of the moment" kebab option since it's just a few steps away from our condo. If you haven't tried other famous kebab places like Mister Kebab, then you're fine with Ababu.
However, for a kebab whore like me, you'd find yourself "bitin" with your usual persian kebab fare. For example, whenever we have kebab, we always have sweet lassi or yogurt shake to balance the taste. But I have to agree that the food is good and very affordable.
If you find yourself craving for kebabs and you don't have enough time, patience and gas money to go to Mister Kebab, then Ababu is a great alternative.

food is really good and very affordable. love the garlic-cream/yogurt sauce.the best way to go (cheap :P) is to get the extra chicken and extra rice (P60.00).though the meat portions arent really that big(kebabs),rice portions are massive! keema rice meal, for under P100 is definitely bomb.

I miss the old branch in Maginhawa st UP VILLAGE!
I miss the homey feeling/ canteen appeal.
I miss the unlimited garlic sauce.
I don't miss the flies.
My friends are actually boycotting Ababu the new branch because we were such loyal fans of the old branch.
It was more accessible even if it was just a little hole in the wall back then.
